2015 ANNUAL SUMMARY REPORT OF CHAPTER
ACTIVITIES & ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Attendance National & Regional Events:
National Convention in New Orleans, LA 6 members attended
Capitol Conference Washington D.C. (2/23 – 2/25 2015) 3 members attended
President Elect attended the Leadership Forum during Cap Conference
Region 3 Leadership Conference – Columbus, OH 7 members attended
Annual State Convention held in Indianapolis on September 28-29, 2015, 10 members attended
Leadership Training Workshops held during the Region 3 meeting, 7 members attended
NEIAHU Board members who also serve on the ISAHU Board 4 members
ISAHU Annual Strategic Planning Session – held in Scottsburg, IN 3 members attended
Local Chapter Events:
This group of Board members represented the largest group of volunteers for chapter. Added new committees to allow more involvement of membership: Golf Outing, Sponsorship, Hospitality
Reviewed & Updated Chapter Strategic Plan and Chapter By-laws
Chapter Board members participated in Leadership Training & Strategic Planning sessions, July
Board members attended 12 Monthly planning meetings
Conducted General Monthly Membership Meetings, 11 meetings
9th Annual Chapter Recognition Program held in September 2015
Annual Golf Outing at Chestnut Hills held August 2015, with proceeds benefiting Cancer Services
Annual Super CE Day held on April 30. 2015. Full day of speakers, sponsors and networking.
1st Summer Social was held at Tin Caps Park – July Event included 31 members and guests
December General Membership meeting included a Holiday Social, Event was held in the evening
Chapter Business Activities:
2015 – 2016 NEIAHU Annual Budget approved
D & O Insurance & Liability Insurance for NEIAHU through ISAHU
Qualified for the NAHU “Silver Seal Certification” in 3/2007, 3/2008, 3/2009 & 3/2011
Qualified for the NAHU “Gold Seal Certification” in 3/2012, 3/2013, 3/2014 & 3/2015
Public Service
Committee showcased the following “Organization Making a Difference” (OMD) in our community: League for the Blind, Cancer Services, Neighbor Link, City of Ft Wayne Operation 4-F, Hope Alive, WorkOne Northeast, Big Brother/ Big Sister,
Collected donations at Annual Golf Event to raise funds for OMD
Delivered check donation to Cancer Services – recipient of golf event
Contributed to the NAHU Educational Foundation
Communications:
12 Monthly e-Newsletter emailed to all members and other insurance professionals
Special email “blasts” on special events, membership contests, LPRT reminders, etc.
State and National Operation Shouts –
Actively evaluating format and content to better serve our members.
Website/ Technology: Kick off of local website to allow easier access to NEIAHU information. Information is being loaded and updated.

Legislative Activity:
HUPAC Contributors from NEIAHU 13 member contributors
ISAHU-PAC Contributors from NEIAHU 4 member contributors
Actively promoted HUPAC & ISAHU-PAC in e-newsletters, monthly meeting
NEIAHU Contributes to the HUPAC Administrative Fund
NEIAHU Legislative Chair participates on the ISAHU Legislative Committee
December meeting included ISAHU lobbyist providing legislative update and Overview for 2016
Encourage Operation Shout participation both on State and National level
Membership:
Committee consists of two Chairs: Recruiting new members and Retention of current members
Participated on Regional & State monthly membership conference calls.
Recruiting Efforts – largest growth of new members in past several years. –gain 21
Retention Rate – 88%; above the State and National goal of 85%
Started to developed a New Member Packet; orientation program

Held our two annual fund raising events: Annual Golf Outing & Super CE Day Event
Sponsorship Programs:
Recruited Platinum partner – Anthem BC/BS
Committee created to strengthen our Sponsorship packages and vendor support.

All board members helped earn these awards by their committee activities and documentation. Awards committee tracked, collected, and organized the information

NAHU Leading Producer Round Table – 9 NEIAHU qualifiers in 2015
Education & Programs:
Changed venue for General Monthly membership meetings which allow for better networking/learning
Provided 7 hours of CE credits to NEIAHU members & guests at monthly member meetings
Incorporated Rolling Announcements during networking and lunch portion of monthly meetings to help increase communication
Hosted Super CE Day Event – offered 15 hours of CE options with 8 hours of CE credits to members & guests
Partnered with local NAIFA chapter to improve networking and industry strength in our community.
Promoted the LPRT program to the membership throughout the year. Adding 5 new qualifiers
Hospitality:
Created committee to help streamline the registration process and welcome members and guests.
Added survey monkey after each program to get member feedback input.
Shared guest contact information with membership to help in the recruiting efforts
Prepared a Chapter assessment survey
Introduced sign-up sheets at monthly meetings to encourage members to volunteer in areas where they have the most interest.
Initiate option for on-line registration and payment options
Media Relations:
Submitted 8 Press Releases and 3 Media Advisories showcasing chapter activity
Letter to Editor – submitted 3, 2 were picked up.
Total 2015 Press “HITS” – 7
