At NEIAHU’s January and February lunch we asked people to bring in pajamas for the Ombudsman Program of Northeast Indiana pajama drive. NEIAHU’s donations became nearly 10% of all the donations received.
The Ombudsman program helps people who live in homebound or nursing home care. Those individuals all too frequently have little to no income, family, and recognition from others.
The program seeks to help 500 northeast Indiana Hoosiers by matching them with a new pajama or gown. Aisha Arrison, the Executive Director of the program notes, “Presenting a new gown or pajama to them says, ‘We care, and you are important.’ Thanks to everyone at NEIAHU for helping us send that message.”
